The only thing more exciting than watching horses come out of the starting gate, is watching them round the final turn on the home stretch and head for the finish line……..
Bill and I were in Vancouver this weekend to relax, and visit family and friends; we decided to head out to Hastings Park to watch the horse racing. Hastings Park is a nice little, 5/8th of a mile track. It was a great day in the sunshine and on top of that admission to the park is free. We have great time trying to pick winners, and then poking fun at each other about our choices and who has the better strategy.
Minimum bet is $2.00, great entertainment for the price, especially if you are the winner and get bragging rights!

Great shot – you really show they vying neck-and-neck for victory!
Congratulations Janice on this great shot. I loved the dynamism in it. Great action shot!
This was my favorite this week for the best of challenge. Well done
Thanks Celine, I love going to the track and photographing the horse, unforunately we don’t have one where I live! I am glad you like the photo.
