Last night Bill and I went to the Auburn Saloon, featured this weekend Flamenco Music and Dancing. Fiona Malena is the premier dancer and face of Flamenco dancing in Calgary. Bill and I were fortunate to sit with family of one of the performers, which gave us a brief inside look into the community. The performances were wonderful to watch, music lovely to listen to and the warmth and energy in the room amazing. We had such a good time we are tempted to go again to-night.
I had read several reviews of the Auburn Saloon, the venue did not disappoint, it seemed the perfect venue for the show, as it allowed us a close up view of the performance, and a feeling of being part of the action rather than in a theater watching the performance.
