flamenco guitarist
breaking the silence
touching and mending our souls
I watched Micah, he was performing at the flamenco show March 18, 2012 at the Auburn Saloon, I wanted to do a close up photo showing the hand stuming the strings. the haiku came later as I worked on the image, using s split toning, a warm black and white feeling. Like the feeling in the room that night. Micah is a young quitarist, hoping to study flamenco guitar in Spain this fall, we were lucky to sit with his parents and learn a little about him and his dream, and the Flamenco community in Calgary

Thanks Maggie, I appreciate your visit and your comment,
Great image. Curious, what software are you using for the color conversion to B&W? I use Nik software Silver Efex.
Hi Rick, I used photoshop cs5, with a black and white adjustment layer and a color balance adjustment layer, I have heard lots of good things about nik software, but i need some time to check it out, and my list of gear and goodies is long! thanks for stopping by and taking time to comment.
