the white waterlily regarded by many as the symbol of enlightenment because the bloom emerges from the mud.
this photo was taken during our last visit to Vancouver at the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Chinese Garden a beautiful garden sanctuary in the middle of the city. we are planning another visit to Vancouver and I am looking forward to a return to the garden I am hoping there will be lots of flowers blooming, not just from the mud!

thanks marina, I love waterlilies, and when I did a search about the flower for the post I learned that they are symbolic of enlightenment! since I read it on the internet it must be true!!!
