Planning and decorating for the holidays have been on my mind this weekend, rather than actually doing anything to get ready for Christmas I decided to procrastinate and go through some previously taken holiday photos. This photo of a large outdoor Christmas tree actually looked more like a shooting star, especially when photographed close up and from an angle. It is one of my favorite holiday pictures. Are you getting ready for the holidays, or are you, like me, still in the planning stage?

Willow calls that ‘active procrastination’. But hey, when it results in a chance to see such a perfect shot (I would love to see a Christmas card with this on it, wouldn’t you? “A star, a star, dancing in the night, with a tail as big as a kite”), who could complain? Thanks for posting this, Janice. (that wasn’t a run-on sentence. It has all its clauses and subclauses tidily roped off with brackets and commas. Honest!)
“active procrastination” I like that. It seems the only thing I don’t put off is procrastination! on the other note, I might just have to print some Christmas cards, for next year (to late for this year). Extra comma’s and brackets added for flow and emphasis.
Cool shot…love the angle!!! Was wondering about different ways to shoot the Christmas decorations downtown this year….Thanks for a little inspiration!
Hi Anita, some christmas trees beg for something different! glad you like it.
