I love my coffee! This week’s 52 frames challenge was symmetry

coffee for two

52 frames provides plenty of interesting challenges for my photography, this image, the challenge was symmetry proved to be much more difficult to accomplish that first imagined. the coffee in the cups never quite the same, and it is impossible to get two biscotti cookies that looked the same, or sat just right!

I eventually, duplicated 1/2 the picture and placed the two 1/2’s together. This project tested by still life skills, those still need work, as well as my Photoshop skills, which, if I am to be honest I need to work on this as well. More than anything, looking back at this project, I need to pay more attention to detail. The little details that reveal themselves only after slowing down, sitting quietly for a while. They are not seen while rushing for a deadline.

My challenge will be to take time. enjoy the process, rather than rushing to the final product. This image is available through Alamy and can be purchased for both commercial or personal use.

  1. That’s a lotta coffee beans! Did you have to gather them up & put them all back into the bag or container?? LOL
