While on this little trip we have been using a couple of different sites to book apartments in the different cities we are visiting. It does make it easier to relax if we have more than a small hotel room. There is also the advantage of being able to fix our own meals and morning coffee before heading out the door for some sight-seeing. The coffee we make in the morning never looks this good! We haven’t developed the hand for coffee art!
The coffee cup was a plain glass table top, lights from the ceiling shining down, so I decided to experiment with one of the many textures I have collected through the years. I added a layer in Photoshop, this one an old piece of sheet music seemed to make sense, since the sound of the coffee machine is music to my ears, the colours, tone and grungy nature of the paper seemed perfect for the images.
I think this would be a perfect card to send to a friend, and inside it would say; Time for coffee?
Hopefully the next time I am in town you we will have time together for a cup of coffee!
There are some who believe that the day can only be as good as the your first cup of coffee.
A great way to start the day, a cup of coffee; sometimes an espresso, sometimes a cappuccino, or in Spain coffee con leche. Today I decided on an espresso and I decided to photography the coffee once it was made. Once photographed I decided to process the image using a warm antique photo filter, slightly tinting the image to warm coffee tone. On hindsight the image, and the coffee cup is cropped a little tight, if I were to photography this again I would allow a little more room around the cup, maybe tomorrow’s cup of coffee?!
