I have been stuck in side, in the basement infact, trying to catch up on papework, processing, filing and general household duties and I am missing the fresh air, the sunshine (I assume the sun is shining) and the clouds, but it does feel good to whittle away on the “to do” list. I will be heading out shortly to see the clouds, and maybe the sunset.
I hope you are having a great day, and if possible getting out and enjoying the fresh air and view.
Friday Sept 16, 2011 was a busy day for a few good people. I have the honor and privilege to call Tim and Shirley friends, and it was a busy day for them as well. On September 17, 2011 I went on holidays for two weeks, and since returning to Calgary, I have spent my spare time working on wedding and travel photos. I am just putting the finishing touches on the wedding photos, and as I finish I decided to post this picture. Could two people look happier!
The sun was setting on the foothills of Alberta, and I blew out the sky, getting the exposure on their faces right! something I will have to work on!
One of my all time favorite silhouette pictures. While we were travelling in Greece, we spent part of a day wandering around Epidaurus. The acoustics and sound in the amphitheater is amazing. If you look closely there is a lady standing in the center of the circle, near center frame. She is telling a story, one of the great Greek myths, she is only using her normal speaking voice and we could hear her perfectly, as if she was sitting at our dinner table talking to us!

| Alfred A. Montapert
Carly loves her pets, and her puppy Lily is no exception. A beautiful, energetic pet that is also a very good friend with the horses!
Animals are such agreeable friends – they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms – George Eliot
I am still working on Carly’s photos, unfortunately there is only so much time in a day. It is wonderful to have these lovely animals to look at, and photos to post, as I try to keep up with the wordpress post a day challenge!
I used Flora Bella actions to give the image a warm, slightly aged look. They have great actions, on their blog they use mostly children photos for subjects, but I find they work well in a numer of different occassions and subjects. They are quick to apply, and easy to use, in that the group can be opened and each layer viewed, masks can be applied to any or all layers to enhance or modify the affect and personalized for the image I am working on.
At this point I am trying to decide if I should clone out the purple rope, and your thought would be appreciated. It would be a lot of work, but I think it would be worth it.
